“Make listening safe” was the 2015 slogan of WHO’s World Hearing Day. It is recommended to follow the principles listed below in an acoustic environment:
Reduce the exposure time to 80 dB and above. Noise reduction devices (earplugs and headphones) are recommended to minimize ear damage.
Watch the exposure time to 70-80 dB, especially the people with sensitive hearing (children and people with hearing loss).
Less than 70 dB is a safe noisy environment. It is recommended to maintain the condition and rest the ears intermittently.
